Key Facts

Morant will be suspended for the next eight games without pay, leaving him off the court until the Grizzlies’ March 20 game against the Dallas Mavericks—Morant has already missed five games since the incident on March 4.

League officials, who had been investigating the incident, said in a statement they “did not conclude” the gun seen in the video belonged to Morant or that he brought it into the strip club.

Officials also found Morant did not travel with the gun while on the road against the Denver Nuggets, or possess it in an NBA facility.

Key Background
Police in Glendale, Colorado, released a statement on the incident last week, saying they were alerted to it by social media reports. Even though police called the video “disturbing,” they did not receive calls for disturbances at the time of the event, and did not find enough evidence to charge Morant. In the video, Morant had briefly held the gun as he partied inside the club (Colorado has “open carry” laws allowing adults to carry guns without a permit if the person doing so is not intoxicated).

Contra
After the video was posted, Morant said he takes “full responsibility” and that he would “take some time away to get help.” The Grizzlies, who are in second place in the Western Conference, lost their first two games without Morant, but have notched wins in their past two games.

How long does it take to become an NBA superstar?

It takes an immense amount of time and dedication to become a professional NBA superstar truly. Being a NBA star takes hard work, physical conditioning, skills development, and years. On average, players spend three to five more years in college developing their skills before they make it to the draft. Players must excel in the NBA and earn a spot on their team's starting roster. You will need to be more skilled and receive professional guidance from your coaches and trainers in order to do this. The ultimate goal of becoming a NBA superstar is not possible in a few short years. You need dedication, commitment, time, and patience to achieve these accolades. With the right mindset and determination, however, anyone can reach their goals and become an NBA superstar!

What is the greatest NBA dynasty of all time?

This is a topic that has been hotly debated for decades. The "showtime Lakers of 1980-1989" held the league's crown for almost a decade and won five championships. They were led by Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, Kareem A Abdul-Jabbar, and Kareem Abdul–Jabbar. During that period, the Lakers were also home to superstars like James Worthy or Byron Scott.

From 200-2004, the Los Angeles Lakers, also known as Shaw and Kobe Lakers were a formidable force. They were defended by Shaquille and Kobe Bryant, both Hall of Famers. They won three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002.

The Chicago Bulls in the 1990s were also a dominant force. They won six titles under Phil Jackson, their iconic head coach. Michael Jordan was the team's greatest player, widely regarded as one of the greatest ever. The Chico Bulls of 1995-1996 are one the most notable teams in NBA basketball history. The 1960s Boston Celtics were perhaps the most famous dynasty of the NBA. They won eight consecutive championships and eleven titles under Hall of Fame coach Red Auerbach. Legendary players Bill Russell, Bob Cousys, John Havliceks, Sam Jones and John Havlicek helped to create a winning culture which has been unmatched in decades.

The San Antonio Spurs are also a top contender for the best NBA dynasty. From 1999 to 2007 the Spurs won four league championships and had one among the most impressive runs in league history. Gregg Popovich and Tony Parker, future Hall of Famer, Manu Ginobili as head coaches, improved the team’s basketball approach. This emphasised a team-first mentality which helped them succeed.

With four NBA championships over the past decade, the Golden State Warriors are one the most successful teams ever. Steve Kerr and superstar players Stephen Curry (Kevin Durant), Klay Thompson (head coach) lead them. The Warriors play an exciting brand of basketball that has thrilled fans worldwide and are also in the conversation for the greatest NBA dynasty of all time.

It's difficult to pick one team that is the greatest NBA Dynasty. Each team had their own set of coaches and players that made them great, but certain teams stood out because of their dominance. You could argue that the greatest NBA dynasty was made up of the Bulls, Bulls Bulls, Celtics Spurs, Spurs, and Warriors.

How To

Is there a better way to be drafted into the NBA than the traditional route?

Two ways to become an NBA player are through college or high school.

NCAA schools are available to college students, such as Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of Kentucky. These schools offer training and education for four years. In this time, the players learn how to play ball handling, shooting, rebounding, and other skills. They learn how the offense and defense work together. They are also taught how to think like a professional athlete.

Prep schools in other states are available for high school students. These schools offer personalized attention and focus on talent development. They teach players academics, character building, and sportsmanship.

Both types players must pass the identical physical tests to be eligible for the draft. The test involves running 40 meters, jumping over a 5'6", standing on one foot, and throwing a football through tires.

The NBA invites players who have passed these tests to join in on workouts with other teams. Teams evaluate them based on their height, weight, wingspan, and speed.

Teams also consider their past experiences. A player who has played AAU basketball will be given preference.

Sometimes, players considered too small to be professional athletes are called "one and done" prospects. These players are typically selected in the second round.

Some players choose to skip college and go straight to the NBA. These players are called "prospects." Prospects don't have to wait to declare themselves eligible to draft.

They may apply for an exemption in order to be permitted to join the draft earlier. If a prospect does this, he can compete with other prospects during the predraft process.

Prospects can improve their chances of getting selected by participating in summer leagues. Summer league games are held in July and August.

Scouts have the chance to see players in action at these events without worrying about injury.

June marks the start of the NBA Draft. The draft is where all the top prospects are evaluated by the NBA teams. Each team receives a set number of picks in each round.

For example, the first pick in the first round is the 15th overall selection. In the third round, the 20th selection is the 60th pick.

Teams make trades after the draft to complete their rosters. Some teams host mini-camp tryouts, inviting potential draftees along to train with them.

It is an exciting day on draft day! What happens next?

Once the draft starts, you don't have to wait for your name in the call. Every NBA team takes turns selecting players from the pool of available hopefuls.

When a team has selected a player, it sends him his contract, which details his salary and playing time as well as benefits. He is a member the organization.

He also receives a jersey that bears his name and a uniform that includes his new nickname.

Finally, he signs the contract. That means he officially joins the NBA.
